How Electric Butterfly Valves Work
The electric actuator is connected to the valve disc (also known as the valve flap). When the actuator receives a control signal, it rotates the disc to various angles, enabling precise regulation of fluid flow or complete opening/closing of the valve. For example, a 90° rotation fully opens the valve, while 0° shuts it completely. Intermediate angles correspond to proportional flow rates. This automated control system enhances operational efficiency and consistency, particularly in large-scale or complex pipeline networks.

VTEM series multi-turn electric actuators can be used not only with straight-stroke valves such as regulating valves, venting valves, and stop valves, but also with corner-stroke valves such as butterfly valves,ball valves, andplug valves after installing a part-turn worm gear box.
